Joint Artificial Limb Distribution Project

Rotary Club of Butwal Downtown, in coordination with Rotary Club of Birgunj, successfully conducted a Joint Artificial Limb Distribution Project to support 15 differently abled individuals. The initiative aimed to restore mobility, promote independence, and improve the overall quality of life of the beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries represented different communities and local levels, including 3 individuals from Satyawati Rural Municipality, 8 from Bagnaskali Rural Municipality, 3 from Panini Municipality, and 1 from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City. Through the distribution of appropriate artificial limbs, the project sought to enable recipients to walk more comfortably, perform their daily activities with greater independence, and regain confidence and dignity in their everyday lives.
The project reflects Rotary’s continued commitment to service, inclusion, and empowerment of differently abled individuals. Rather than simply providing immediate assistance, the initiative focused on creating a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of those facing mobility challenges.
Rotary Club of Butwal Downtown believes that access to mobility can open doors to greater independence, participation, and opportunity. By joining hands with Rotary Club of Birgunj and coordinating with concerned stakeholders, the Club was able to identify beneficiaries and provide support based on their individual needs.
Looking ahead, Rotary Club of Butwal Downtown remains committed to identifying more differently abled individuals who require mobility assistance. The Club will continue to coordinate with local governments, concerned organizations, and community stakeholders to extend similar support to deserving individuals in the days ahead.
This initiative stands as another meaningful example of Rotary enduring commitment to “Service Above Self” and its vision of building a more inclusive and dignified community for all.
